Running Accomplishments:

I am fairly new to running...not yet confident enough with my times to post them :) My first race EVER was a marathon October of 2009. It gave me a great respect for the distance!

Short-Term Running Goals:

I gotta lose about 20 lbs before I can even focus on any running goals. While losing the weight I will continue to run races for fun with my husband. Once the extra weight is gone I hope to get my weekly mileage back up and work towards qualifying for Boston!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to keep motivated and push myself to go further and faster. Perhaps one day I can do an ultra!

Personal:

I was born and raised in MA, so qualifying for the Boston Marathon is important to me. This was my fifth year walking that route for the annual Jimmy Fund Cancer Walk. So having walked it 5 times I thought...why not just run that distance as my first race! BIG mistake...my first official race I "ran" was horrifying! I have a husband 7 yrs older that can run circles around me when it comes to speed, but I think I have him beat when it comes to endurance:) I have two daughters Molly-1997 and Frankie-2005...they know that as soon as Frankie is old enough I want our family of 4 to run a marathon together.

Ran 6 miles at the local track, it was about 40 degrees. Felt like I could've put in a couple more miles, ran out of time :(
